  16 years ago dateline's report on jw's and child abuse was aired may 28, 2002, a tuesday night and tonight a&e aired on may 29, 2018, tuesday night!.

  i can't help but think how barbara has tirelessly worked to expose the child abuse issue within the watchtower/jw.org and is still working to not only expose the problem but to help change the laws in the usa to help protect children.

  she has a wealth of information gathered for over 20 years on how the governing body protects the pedophile and not help the victims .

  It was done very well. To see Barbara and Joe on this topic was very reassuring for me. I must admit watching the show last night brought up a lot of feelings of anger in me. I was sick to my stomach after the show was over. It took me hours to settle down to I could go to sleep. Remy is a true survivor of sexual abuse. I wish her a long and healthy life. I hope this will be the spark to end up his cult. Still Totally ADD

  so the recent topic about film franchises got me thinking.

  sure, we all love the big budget, mainstream releases that are so successful they spawn never-ending (it sometimes seems) sequels.

  we could watch marvel and star-wars movies for the rest of our lives (and we might just ...).. but y'know what i love?

  If it was anything like I saw living down in FL retirees seem to flock to religion knowing they have only a short time left on this Earth. In most cases they have never step into a church since they were kids. After all look at their thinking of being being Kings and priest in God's kingdom. Still Totally ADD

  i don't remember seeing it ever really talked about here but the facebook group with the namesake of this post shut down at the end of march.

  it was archived and they weren't clear as to when or if they would come back.

  it seemed to come out of nowhere, and i know a lot of people were disappointed.

  I feel this site has been a emotional lifeline for many of us. This place has become a daily habit for both my wife and I. Being able to have the freedom to speak your mind after being trap in a cult where that freedom is taken away from you is so freshing to our well being. We may not always agree with one another but that is how normal people act. Thank you Simon for all you have done. Let the healing continue until no more cults like the wt. exist. Still Totally ADD

  years ago at the kh my aunt attended, there was an elder from a prominent jw family who was accused of sexual conduct with several young men in the hall.

  he was an unmarried guy in his 30's who wore a terrible hair piece/toupee.

  his sister once told me he was waiting for the new system to marry so he could have a perfect wife--isn't that funny?.

  Very sad😖😖😞😟😟. Regardless of why this letter was circulated the young man is a victim of another pedophile in this cult. Being survivor of abuse myself I have great concern for those who have not gotten the support they need to survive the trauma they went through from these creeps. My heart goes out to all such victims. We are all worth more than this cult will ever give you credit for. Questioning Everything thank you for bring this out. It gives voice to what has and still is taking place in this high control cult. Still Totally ADD

  my wife and i have been long time lurkers here and are now members .

  we were wondering if anyone is aware of any groups or individuals that meet periodically within ( or a short drive from ) connecticut ?

  there was a co visit in ohio a couple weeks ago.

  when he was finishing up his sunday talk he said that he would like if "all the children that are from this congregation, not if you're just visiting, but from this congregation to come on up on the stage right after the meeting because i want to get a picture of you.".

  i thought to myself, why?

  i am shaking all over right now.

  i think it's worse that the bunker video.. i used to think there was no way that these people would actually "drink the cool aid" if you get my drift, but seeing this video i am now not sure it could never happen.. having a wife who i love dearly trapped in this cult is really freaking me out right now...

  Remember when the first VCR videos came out. They were historical, organizational boosting and Bible story based. Very mundane in nature. From there early beginnings to now we can see the gradualism of how the Borg has ramp them up to pure fictional propaganda trying to scare the people trap in the cult to submission to the cult. This is quite a dangerous turn of events taking place by the wt. It amazes me how the very thing they demonized several years ago on what other religions did they are now in the thick of it today. Was it about five years ago the wt. said there was going to be big changes in how they did things? Will here we are folks. Watchtower on steroids scaring people into submission. Still Totally ADD
